💖Kindness & Strength💖
Last week’s post struck a chord, and I’m so grateful for the robust response from both men and women. It’s clear that body image struggles don’t discriminate - they affect all of us, often in ways we don’t even realize. I’ve shared how my own journey with body image has been a rollercoaster, and hearing your stories reminds me just how universal these feelings are.
Body image issues often stem from unrealistic societal standards that push us to change. But healing doesn’t come from another diet or more willpower - it starts with treating ourselves with respect and compassion. We don’t have to love every part of our bodies right now, but treating them with the same respect we’d give a close friend is a strong foundation for healing. It’s important to challenge the idea that our worth is tied to how we look, because who really benefits from those messages? Not us. Instead of focusing on fixing our bodies, let’s practice self-compassion. Our value isn’t tied to appearance, and being kind to ourselves - especially on hard days - makes all the difference.
We all deserve to live more peacefully in our bodies, and I’m here to remind you that your body is a good one, even if you’re not ready to believe it yet. Healing takes time, but together, we’ve got this.
