As we age, our bodies change, but our ability to grow stronger and stay active never stops. Here's how to keep shining:
Fast-Twitch Fibers & Explosive Movements: These fibers, responsible for quick, powerful moves, decline as we age. Incorporating exercises like sprints and burpees (safely!) helps maintain their function.
Joint Support & Flexibility: Reduced collagen makes tendons and ligaments weaker, but mobility work, proper warm-ups, and cool-downs protect and strengthen these tissues.
Weight-Bearing Exercises: Activities like jumping or resistance training boost bone density, especially important as we approach or experience menopause.
Building a Strong Foundation: Start with stability, core strength, and endurance. Gradually progress to heavier weights and more intense moves.
Muscle Memory: If you're returning to fitness, your body remembers motor skills like riding a bike or lifting weights. Build on these patterns with consistent effort.
Build your strength, recover well, and keep mixing up how you move to stay energized and resilient no matter your age. The best version of you is still ahead - stronger, healthier, and more alive than ever!!
